ESG Reporting Specialist

Your role

At Allens, our business teams are also specialists in their field, using their unique knowledge and expertise to solve critical client and business challenges.

You'll be a part of our Community Engagement team based in our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office. The Community Engagement team leads the firm’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, enabling our people to contribute their time and expertise to impactful community initiatives and pro bono matters.

As an ESG Reporting Specialist in our Community Engagement team you will:

  • Coordinate annual ESG reporting, climate-related disclosures (including emissions and waste audits), and ensure compliance with external ESG obligations and emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate ESG data records, contribute to internal/external ESG communications, and support staff engagement activities, including event coordination.
  • Manage community engagement initiatives, including induction training, SharePoint updates, the annual philanthropy granting round, matched funding, and impact reporting.
  • Prepare ESG-related content for tenders, panel submissions, and due diligence questionnaires in collaboration with Business Development teams.
  • Coordinate the firm’s Modern Slavery Statement through risk assessments, internal consultation and data gathering.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.

About you

You will have:

  • Understanding of ESG frameworks and standards, such as UNGC, SDGs, and modern slavery reporting requirements.
  • Strong data literacy and attention to detail, including proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A desire to learn, grow, collaborate and mentor.

Experience in ESG, corporate sustainability or responsible business reporting is preferred.
