Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ESG Reporting Specialist to support and strengthen ESG our reporting and disclosure capability.

This role is focused on hands‑on assessment, stabilisation, and improvement of current ESG reporting and data processes, ensuring they are scalable, sustainable, and fit for regulatory, executive, and board‑level reporting. The emphasis is on working within established business and technology environments, improving process consistency, reducing manual effort, and strengthening governance and controls.

This role will suit a senior ESG reporting practitioner who enjoys working pragmatically within complexity to deliver reliable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a detailed AS‑IS assessment of current ESG‑related reporting and data processes.

  • Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, dependencies, and manual workarounds across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Simplify and stabilise ESG reporting processes in the short term to reduce operational risk and reporting effort.

  • Maintain and strengthen ESG reporting frameworks aligned with relevant standards (e.g. ISSB / ASRS, TCFD, GRI), ensuring alignment with Australian regulatory requirements.

  • Work with existing finance, sustainability, and technology teams to improve accuracy, consistency, and governance of ESG data.

  • Support the integration of ESG metrics into established financial and reporting processes, improving data quality through practical controls and validation checks.

  • Prepare ESG‑related reporting for internal management, executives, board committees, and external stakeholders, including regulators.

  • Analyse reporting requirements and recommend incremental process improvements that enhance efficiency and repeatability.

  • Support internal and external assurance activities, including responding to audit and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in ESG, sustainability, or non‑financial reporting within a corporate or regulated environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ESG disclosure standards and regulatory expectations (e.g. ISSB / ASRS, TCFD, GRI; ASX / ASIC context).
  • Practical, hands‑on experience implementing or improving ESG reporting processes, controls, and data quality.
  • Experience working with established financial and reporting systems (including SAP or similar ERP environments) in a business‑as‑usual reporting context.
  • Ability to operate effectively as a senior individual contributor, comfortable working hands‑on within existing structures.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and an ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including engagement with senior stakeholders.
