Role description: 

Our Environmental Planning and Management team is Growing!

Arcadis is seeking a Principal or Senior Environmental Consultant to join our expanding Environmental Planning and Management team in New South Wales. With consistent growth and exciting opportunities across transport infrastructure, energy transition, and waste sectors, this is your chance to work on diverse and impactful projects while collaborating with industry-leading professionals.

Role accountabilities:

Reporting to the NSW Team Leader / Discipline Manager, you will:

  • Prepare environmental assessment reports including environmental impact statements (EISs) and review of environmental factors (REFs) for transport infrastructure, energy transition and/or waste projects

and/or

  • Prepare post-approvals documentation including construction and operation environmental management plans and sub-plans, consistency assessments and modification reports
  • Collaborate across disciplines to maintain the integrity of designs and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
  • Manage specialist inputs including collaboration with other internal disciplines and sub-consultants 
  • Deliver or input to high-quality client proposals
  • Oversee commercial aspects of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction
  • Develop strong client relationships and contribute to team growth.
Qualifications & Experience: 

We’re seeking team players with a passion for environmental management and a commitment to excellence. You’ll need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental management, science, or engineering
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering environmental compliance and/or impact assessments on projects in New South Wales
  • Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation and planning policy
  • A proven track record of delivering high-quality work and fostering positive team culture
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Registered Environmental Assessment Practitioner (REAP) qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
