Project Engineering Manager | Power Projects

THE ROLE

Join our dynamic Power Projects team and be part of the exciting transformation in clean energy! We’re on the hunt for an experienced Project Engineering Manager to help drive multiple high-voltage Transmission, BESS & Substations power projects. This unique opportunity is based in our vibrant Milton office in Brisbane.

In this pivotal role, you’ll partner with the General Manager to strategically manage resources and guide our talented Site and Project Engineers to excel within our expansive Transmission Line, Substation & BESS project portfolios. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things technical and quality-related, playing a crucial role in supporting both our ongoing projects and competitive bids. Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Provide coaching and leadership of a cohort of Site & Project Engineering resources while maintaining effective communication channels with both direct and indirect reports.
• Assess resource requirements and work with project teams to provide Site and Project Engineers as needed.
• Provide technical or quality support for projects and bids as needed to meet business requirements.
• Create a client-focused team that collaborates with clients to understand and fulfil their needs.
• Consistently model positive behaviour and promote crucial aspects of Zero Harm when engaging with operational teams.

ABOUT YOU 

You’re a technically strong engineering leader who thrives in complex, project-based environments. With experience across high-voltage transmission, substations, and/or BESS projects, you bring a collaborative leadership style, strong commercial awareness, and the ability to mentor teams while delivering safe, high-quality outcomes.

• A bachelor's degree in engineering and a chartered status are highly desirable.
• Proven and successful experience in project-based business, with exposure to HV power transmission or substations being a valuable addition.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities in coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
