This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced adviser to lead complex engagements across Australia’s energy transition and infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial organisations, project developers, investors and government clients, while collaborating with established teams across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.
The Director will oversee engagements spanning capital strategy, transaction execution and strategic advisory. Depending on individual expertise, this may include capital raising, commercial strategy, financial modelling, business cases, feasibility analysis and broader project support.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading capital advisory engagements from initial strategy through to execution.
- Advising clients on equity, debt, strategic capital, government funding and alternative financing structures.
- Developing and reviewing financial models, feasibility studies, investment analysis and business cases.
- Supporting transactions involving renewable energy, infrastructure and emerging technologies.
- Managing senior client, investor, government and stakeholder relationships.
- Identifying and converting new business opportunities.
- Providing leadership, oversight and development to junior team members.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm’s national offices.
- Contributing to the continued growth of the Capital Advisory practice.
The opportunity would suit an experienced professional from investment banking, infrastructure or energy advisory, project finance, corporate finance, consulting, government advisory or a Big Four deals environment.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Strong experience across one or more areas of capital advisory, transactions, commercial strategy, financial modelling or business-case development.
- Exposure to energy, infrastructure, utilities, government or major projects.
- The ability to lead complex assignments and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong commercial judgement and a practical, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience supervising and developing junior professionals.
- An interest in business development and building long-term client relationships.
Existing origination capability would be highly regarded, although the firm is also open to candidates with strong execution and leadership credentials who are ready to develop further commercially.
The position is expected to be appointed at Director level, with potential flexibility for an exceptional Executive Director candidate who can demonstrate a credible business case and established market relationships.
