Power the future of clean energy.

Ark Energy is growing – and so is our ambition. As we grow from a development-only model to building, owning, and operating our renewable energy assets, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineering Manager who can play a critical role in delivering safe, innovative and high-performing electrical solutions across next-generation renewable projects.

About the Role

Step into a pivotal role as our Electrical Engineering Manager, overseeing electrical engineering across a diverse and fast-growing renewable energy portfolio spanning wind, solar, BESS, and emerging hydrogen technologies. Based in either Brisbane or Sydney, you will provide end-to-end technical leadership and assurance, ensuring robust, compliant, and high-quality electrical solutions from development through to commissioning and operational handover.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical authority for electrical engineering across the portfolio.
  • Define and drive electrical standards, design philosophies and assurance processes.
  • Oversee design quality, safety, compliance and risk.
  • Lead and review key electrical inputs, including grid connections, substations and power systems.
  • Endorse electrical concepts, risks, costs, and schedules to support investment decisions.
  • Oversee connection processes, licensing, and registration documentation.
  • Develop practical, optimised electrical solutions using sound engineering judgement.
  • Support tendering, procurement and commercial decisions for electrical systems.
  • Assist with construction, testing, and commissioning, resolving complex issues.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and extensive experience (10+ years) in electrical engineering roles within power generation, transmission and/or distribution environments.
  • Demonstrated experience providing technical authority and assurance across complex infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
  • Strong knowledge of substations, power collection systems, and grid connection infrastructure, with a solid understanding of Australian electrical standards, codes and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working with EPC contractors, Owner’s Engineers, consultants and network service providers.
  • Eligibility to practice as a professional engineer in Australia.
  • Proven experience leading and developing technical teams.
  • Strong technical capability in producing engineering documentation, problem-solving, and working in interdisciplinary design and construction teams.
  • Well-organised, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across Australia.
