As an ESG Analyst, you’ll support the delivery of research and engagement that informs investment decisions and contributes to the performance and positioning of Perpetual Group’s sustainable and impact funds, including Regnan-branded strategies. You’ll play a hands-on role analysing ESG risks and opportunities, while working closely with investment teams across the Group.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct research to support business activity screening, including assessing issuer involvement in controversial activities

  • Apply Regnan’s proprietary frameworks to analyse ESG, sustainability and impact factors across equities and fixed income

  • Support and contribute to Regnan’s thematic research and engagement program

  • Work collaboratively with investment boutiques to support their ESG and impact investing priorities

  • Help embed ESG insights into investment decision-making and portfolio positioning

  • Act as an AI champion for the team, supporting the adoption and integration of AI tools to enhance research and workflows

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Degree in a business-related discipline (postgraduate studies in sustainability, environment or social policy highly regarded)

  • Graduate or early career experience in ESG, sustainability or responsible investment

  • Strong research and analytical capability, with attention to detail

  • Advanced Excel skills and practical application of AI tools

  • Strong organisation and information management skills

  • Interest in financial markets; exposure to investments is advantageous

  • Experience with Python, SQL or data visualisation tools such as PowerBI is highly regarded
